How to read the HIC

Colour of the spot

Brown:

The environmental RH percentage is lower than the percentage indicated by the spot.

Light blue:

The environmental RH percentage exceeds the percentage indicated by the spot.
The environmental RH percentage is the one indicated by the spot which is about to change from Brown to Light Blue colour.
Each spot is impregnated with a cobalt free chemical substance that changes its colour when exposed to a given percentage of Relative Humidity.

Cobalt Free Humidity Indicator Cards are reversible.

Humidity Indicator Cards calibration and colour change are tested in our laboratory using Minolta Colorimeters in controlled environment.
